Five dollars from a neighbor goes a long way here
This is a small campaign in a poor district. I'm not asking for a big check. I'm asking a lot of people for a little.
What money actually buys in a race like this
I'll be plain with you about what money does in a race like this one.
District 149 has about 38,000 people spread across three counties. There's no television buy that makes sense here. What money buys is yard signs, palm cards, gas to drive from one end of this district to the other and back, and postage. That's it. Every one of those things is cheap, and every one of them works.
So $5 is not a token here. Ten dollars prints a stack of cards. Twenty-five buys a yard sign that sits at a crossroads for two months. A hundred puts gas in the car for a week of driving this district.
I've spent my life taking care of people for a living, not raising money. If you can help, I'd be grateful. If you can't, share a video instead — that's worth something too.
Give
I want you to know exactly where your money goes.
ActBlue charges a 3.5% processing fee, so 96.5% of your contribution remains with this candidate committee. You may add 3.5% to cover the fee, or mail a contribution to the committee address below.

Monthly giving, and how to stop it
Nothing here is set to repeat unless you choose it. No option on this website or on the donation page is pre-checked, and Missouri law is explicit that failing to uncheck a pre-checked box is not consent.
If you do set up a monthly gift, Missouri law ends recurring political contributions after the election the candidate appeared on. Because I won my primary in August, a recurring gift to this committee may continue up to the general election on November 3, 2026, and stops after it.
How to cancel one. You will get a receipt for every contribution showing how often it repeats, how long it runs, and how to stop it. To cancel, use the link on any ActBlue receipt, or email jarsak01@yahoo.com or write to the committee at the address below and we will stop it before the next scheduled date.
Mail a check

What the law requires us to tell you
- Contributions to a Missouri candidate committee are not tax deductible.
- Missouri law requires this committee to report the name, address, employer and occupation of anyone who gives more than $100. That information becomes public record and is searchable on the Missouri Ethics Commission website — this committee is MECID C264012. If that matters to you, keep your gift at $100 or under.
- You must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident to contribute. Contributions from foreign nationals are prohibited.
- Contributions must be from your own funds, not reimbursed by anyone else, and not made on behalf of another person or on a corporate card.
- There is a legal maximum on what one person may give this committee for this election. We are not printing a number, on purpose — Missouri’s limit is adjusted for inflation, and a figure that goes stale on a candidate’s own donate page is worse than no figure. ActBlue enforces the ceiling at checkout. If you want the current number, the Missouri Ethics Commission publishes it.
Thank you
Thank you. Truly. I'm asking for your vote on November 3rd, and I appreciate it. God bless you.
